Chicken Sesame Salad

I thought I would give you a different kind of recipe this time instead of some kind of bake good. This is one of my favorite salads to make. My mom got it from some lady while we were vacationing at our timeshare in Lake Chelan. It's called Chicken Sesame Salad.

1 Head of Napa Cabbage (about 2 lbs)
5 Green Onions with tops (optional)
2 T. Toasted sesame seeds
1 Pkg. Top Ramen Noodles (Oriental Flavor or Chicken Sesame)
1/2 Cup Of Blue Diamond Almonds (smoked)
1 Large Can (10oz) Premium Chunk Chicken in H20
1/2 Cup Oil
1 1/2 T. Sesame Oil
3 T. Rice Vinegar ( Seasoned Style)
3 T. Sugar
( Drained Mandarin Oranges Optional)

1- Wash and slice cabbage across

2- Chop onions and almonds

3- Mix with sesame seeds and chicken

4- Mix oils, vinegar, sugar and seasoning mix

5- Pour over salad and toss well

6- Crumble ramen noodles and toss again. Serve while noodles are chrisp

Maybe made in advance, add dressing and noodles when ready to serve

(Left over salad is good the next day)

Hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do.

New Items

I'm trying to figure out what other kinds of items people would like to see in my Etsy shop besides what I already make. I have thought about making boy things since not many people cater to that group. If I were to make boy things what would you like to see- button down shirts, pajamas, boxer shorts, cargo pants or something else. For little girls I was thinking of making another dress design, pants, shorts, pajamas or tank tops.

Take a look @ my shop and let me know what you want added- http://www.etsy.com/shop/Kelleenkreations

Photo Shoot

Last week on Monday May 7th I had my first photo shoot with an actual model. It was super fun. My mom had found me a model named Rosie. She was a great model. It looked like she was having a blast. The photo shoot took place at Stanwood Elementary School, in Stanwood, WA.  I had her wearing a few of my skirts, dresses and a apron. When we were ready for a new outfit Rosie was right there picking out a new outfit. Her favorite item that she wore was a skirt made out of princess fabric. Rosie even made her mom order that skirt from me. Which I think is pretty funny.

My photographer was Florence Dahlstedt from Avin Photography. She is a new photographer trying to get her business out to the public. Florence's pics were great. She had Rosie in many different poses and backgrounds.

Here are a few pics from the photo shoot-

About the Kelleen Kreations

I started sewing when I was 10 years old. sewing became a huge passion of mine as I took it for an elective in high school. When I was getting ready to graduate high school, I started to realize how hard it was for me to find clothes that fit perfectly so I decided to go to the Art Institute of Seattle for fashion design.

My time spent at the Art Institute of Seattle was a great experience. I met many new friends and learned everything I need to become a fashion designer. When it was time to graduate I was able to enter a few of my designs in our school fashion show. Which was a very exciting experience to see to see someone else where my designs. At the show they gave out awards for different categories and I won for "best Design in Casual Sports Wear". Boy was it exciting to receive that.

Kelleen  Kreations Opened in the fall of 2011. I had made a wedding gift for a friend who really liked it and, I figured why not try to sell those items. My items are on sale on a site called etsy. The items that I sell are kitchen accessories including- pot holders, adult aprons, and drink coasters, little girls clothing including- girl aprons, skirts, and peasant dresses.
